If you're reading this page, then most likely you either just got a new (or hand-me-down) computer, or you are using someone else's computer for the first time (or almost the first time). And that means that you are probably very confuzled. Don't worry.First of all, you already know more than you think you do. (You found this site, after all!) Secondly, it really isn't as hard as it seems. Like anything else, once you start doing it and get a little practice, it'll get easier and easier for you. Before you know it, you'll be computing like a pro! This site is designed for people who are brand-new to computing. If this is you, then we suggest you view all of the pages on this site in order by clicking here or on the the "Next: What is a Computer?" link at the bottom of this page. This will take you through the whole site in an order designed to make sense to new users. You can also jump to any main topic page by clicking on the links on the top of each page, or you can jump to selected pages dealing with frequently asked questions (FAQ's) that new users have by clicking on these links:
